Welcome to the first Impressive Interviews Newsletter for 2019. Can't believe it is February already.

Happy New Year

It was lovely to have a break and spend time away from the office. Spending a week in Culburra on the south coast overlooking the ocean, relaxing, reading and the occasional walk was just perfect. To add to this wonderful experience there was no internet or landline and even the mobile worked only occasionally it was a dream come true. Now back to reality.

Hope all of you had a chance to relax and enjoy the holidays and have come back to face the new year.

Now for some updates.

The Master Class Programs for medicals and professionals for 2019 are now on the website in the events section (click here) so please take a minute and check the dates and times. You will notice there are now discounts available for early bird bookings.

This year Impressive Interviews is offering a couple of new options for candidates.

Medical

For those of you who are both competitive and cooperative there is a new option. If you have an interview practice group of three or more for the same specialty, you can organise group training which will be tailored to your specific medical specialty. This will give all the participants in your group the basis for preparing for the selection interview as well as some practice and feedback on improving your responses.

Professional

If you work for an organisation that is in the process of change or about to restructure or the possibility of a whole section may be made redundant, Impressive Interviews can develop a tailored program for your group to assist in preparing for job interviews.

About Deborah Barit

Deborah Barit is a Sydney based author, trainer, consultant and Director of Impressive Interviews who specialises in training individuals and groups for job interviews. She has successfully placed clients from professions as diverse as health, law, IT, senior management and the arts in positions of their choice. For the last 15 years she has specialised in training doctors for medical specialty selection interviews and more recently consultants for senior roles.

Prior to this, her career has included selection and recruitment both in Australia and overseas, labour market research, evaluation of government-funded programs and working with disability employment services. She holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations form UTS.
