Attention Marketing Manager,
The next addition of My Career will run on Wednesday 5th August
key themes:
Recruitment agencies: what are they good for?
Always hiring: emergency services and other constant recruiters
Cover story: recruitment processes – (with a strong focus on temping) the various recruitment services that are available and how they differ, including executive coaching, temping, labour force agencies, careers assessment . Will also be educating people as to what recruiters actually do for jobseekers.
Second feature: Always hiring: emergency services – cover story on the history and relevance of emergency services, and the employment issues facing them (shortages, testing, labour/union disputes)
Third feature: recruitment issues – this may end up being several separate articles, discussing psychometric testing, interviewing techniques, cv presentation etc. I’ll be looking for comments from recruiters on each.
fourth feature: on each emergency service (ambulance, police, fire) – or one small one on each, giving a rundown of the jobs you can do, what training is involved, how long you join for, what testing is involved to join up etc.
Regular columns:
Industry overview: a skills shortage industry overview (transport and logistics)
Training into work: either a rundown of one to three courses relevant to the industry overviewed, or an interview with someone trained and working in industry overviewed
Q&A: with a recruiter on what recruiters can do for job seekers
The Way: interview with someone who joined an essential service
I look forward to hearing from you
Have a brilliant day
Kind regards
